Restless Grounds

Restless Grounds launched on December 12, 2024 as a free-to-play horror investigation game by solo developer Zirael. On December 11, 2025 — the game's one-year anniversary — the developer posted a candid update explaining that, while they love the project, they no longer wish to work on it and will not be providing further post-release support or patches. They described the game as a "proof of concept" and acknowledged it shipped in an unpolished state. The developer explicitly stated they are done with Restless Grounds itself. Any future work they mentioned is a separate, new project — not additional content for this game. Since the game launched as a complete (if rough) standalone product and the developer has clearly stated development on it is finished, the game is considered content-complete as of its original release date.
