Evaluation

FRUKT entered Early Access on September 24, 2026, just two days before today's date. The developer, tripledose, has been transparent and communicative throughout the lead-up to launch and immediately after it. On launch day (September 24, 2026), the developer published a post confirming what shipped with Early Access and acknowledging several planned features that didn't make the cut — including a finished grenade and a completed new map. The very next day (September 25, 2026), they followed up with a detailed "What's next?" post outlining concrete near-term plans: finishing the grenade, completing the new map, polishing the health inspection feature, adding new context menu actions, new props, a collision switch for the map's world menu, and general polish. The developer also mentioned exploring physical player movement as a longer-term goal. Looking further back, a March 2026 announcement stated plans for "1.5–7 years of updates/DLC depending on sales," and the August 2026 release date announcement reaffirmed this long-term commitment by explaining that Early Access was chosen specifically to signal to players that "there's still a ton of stuff coming." A May 2026 delay notice also demonstrated the developer's commitment to quality over speed. The developer is clearly active — posting hotfixes and roadmap updates within 24 hours of launch — and has explicitly committed to ongoing content additions. There is no ambiguity about development status: this game is in active, ongoing Early Access development with specific future content communicated.
Evidence
Day-after-launch post outlines near-term plans: finishing the grenade, completing the new map, polishing health inspection, new context menu actions, new props, possible physical player movement, and a mod API. Developer states they will continue sharing short-term plans and progress.

Early Access launch post confirms the game shipped with several features but explicitly notes unfinished items (new map, achievements) and closes with 'this is just the beginning - the game has a long life ahead of it.'

About this game

FRUKT is a death sandbox where every kill becomes an experiment.

Kill, dismember, and torment highly detailed voxel-based humanoids. Every bone breaks, every muscle tears, every organ reacts to damage. No rules, no story - only death.

Key features:

  • Dynamic dismemberment: tear off limbs, slice everything into pieces - body is fully physical and voxel-based.

  • Functional organs: the heart pumps blood, the brain controls the body, muscles hold strength. Hit the heart and the ragdoll will bleed out. Destroy the brain and it dies instantly.

  • Physical balance: victims react naturally to all impacts, trying to stay on their feet and falling like real humans.

  • Realistic movement: every step depends on muscle strength and the surface below. Break the legs and watch them fail to hold the body.
