Gadgeteer launched out of Early Access on August 27, 2020, with version 1.0 adding major features including Online Sharing, Puzzle Designer, and 40+ new gadgets. Following that launch, the developer shipped one significant free content update on July 5, 2022 — the Musical Gadgets update — which added 23 new musical gadgets and a new environment (the Study). After that update, the developer released only minor bug-fix patches (versions 1.1.1 in July 2022 and 1.1.2 in November 2022), with no further developer communications of any kind since November 4, 2022. There are no unreleased DLC on the store, no roadmap or announcement of future content, and no developer statement indicating ongoing development plans. The game has two major content releases across its post-launch life — the 1.0 launch itself and the July 2022 Musical Gadgets update — with a gap of nearly two years between them. Since November 2022, there has been complete silence from the developer, well beyond what the historical update interval would suggest. The game appears to have reached its final state with the Musical Gadgets free update on July 5, 2022.
