Gal*Gun 2 launched on July 20, 2018 and received a wave of costume DLC on August 3, 2018, followed by its final piece of content — the Doki Doki VR Mode DLC — on November 28, 2018, accompanied by a bug fix patch and language additions. All 22 listed DLC items have been released, and the last of them shipped in November 2018. There have been no developer posts about new content for Gal*Gun 2 itself since that date. Subsequent news posts from this game's page focus entirely on other titles in the Gal*Gun universe — the release of Gal*Gun Returns (February 2021), Grim Guardians: Demon Purge (February 2023), and a trilogy bundle announcement in December 2024. None of these indicate new content for Gal*Gun 2. The developer has never announced additional DLC or updates for the game beyond what has already shipped, and the update pattern ceased after November 2018. The game launched as a complete experience and received all of its planned post-launch content within its first four months.
