Game Tycoon 2 launched out of Early Access on April 8, 2016, reaching its 1.0 release after a development period that began in October 2015. The developer shipped a series of major updates during Early Access (versions 0.4.0, 0.5.0, and 0.9.0), followed by the full 1.0 release. Shortly after launch, Mac and Linux versions were added (April 22 and April 27, 2016), and one additional major feature update — version 1.1 — was released on November 2, 2016, incorporating a large number of community suggestions and bug fixes. That November 2, 2016 post is the last developer communication on record. No further updates, announcements, roadmaps, or unreleased DLC have been posted since then. The store description makes no mention of planned future content, season passes, or ongoing development. With no outstanding commitments and no communication from the developer since November 2, 2016, the game appears to have reached its final state with the 1.1 update.
