Garbage Truck Simulator launched on February 9, 2023 as a self-published indie title. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped a series of patches addressing bugs and adding features (Updates 1.01, 1.1, 1.11, 1.12). The last substantive release was Update 1.2 on April 24, 2023, which added a new garbage truck model, five new bulky trash items, and additional gameplay options. No content has been announced or released since that date, and the developer has not posted any news since April 24, 2023. The store description does not reference any upcoming content, season passes, or ongoing update plans. With three post-launch content updates completed and no developer communication or announced content since April 2023, the game appears to have shipped as a finished product and reached its final state with Update 1.2.
