Evaluation
Gatekeeper: Eclipse is a free-to-play prologue version of the full game Gatekeeper, released on February 27, 2023. It is no longer available for purchase on Steam — the store listing shows no purchase options available, meaning it has been removed from the storefront.
This appears to be intentional. The Eclipse prologue was always designed as a promotional vehicle for the main game. By April 2023, the developer noted it had reached 100,000 lifetime players and announced a successor demo (Gatekeeper: Infinity). The full game, Gatekeeper, then launched into Early Access in May 2024 and officially reached its 1.0 release on August 1, 2025. With the full game now out, the prologue has been delisted, having served its purpose of building an audience for the main release.
Evidence
The full game Gatekeeper officially launched out of Early Access on August 1, 2025, completing the development journey that the Eclipse prologue was built to support.
No purchase options are available on the store — the game has been removed from sale.
