Gone Rogue launched on March 1, 2023 and received a healthy run of post-launch updates: the Challenges mode was added in Update 1.1 (April 30, 2023), followed by multiple feature patches adding new items, a Halloween mission, a new survival difficulty, and a reworked English localization through mid-2024.
The decisive signal came on November 22, 2024, when the developer published a post explicitly addressing the game's future. AskaLot Games confirmed that no DLC or standalone expansion for Gone Rogue is planned — instead, they announced that active development of a brand-new follow-up game called Deserter has been underway for a year, with a planned release in the second half of 2025. The developer framed this as their answer to the longstanding player question about future Gone Rogue content: the creative energy has moved on to the new title.
With the developer explicitly directing future development toward Deserter rather than Gone Rogue, and no unreleased DLC or outstanding content commitments for Gone Rogue itself, the game's content is complete as of that November 2024 announcement. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which shipped on launch day. No further updates to Gone Rogue have been announced.
