Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms launched on March 13, 2018 as a complete visual novel — the second part of a two-part remastered series. The developer's news posts on this game's page since launch consist entirely of announcements for a different game entirely (Cupid Parasite, an unrelated otome title announced in April 2026). There have been no post-launch updates, patches with new content, or developer communications suggesting additional content was ever planned for Edo Blossoms itself. The store description presents the game as a self-contained narrative experience with a fixed set of routes, endings, and content. This game launched as a finished product and has received no post-launch content updates. The two DLC items released on launch day were purely cosmetic/supplementary (art books and wallpapers), not story content. The game's content was complete on the day it was released.
