Halfway launched on July 22, 2014 and received a burst of patches and feature updates in the weeks following release, culminating in a major content update on October 20, 2014 (version 1.2.0) that added modding support, Steam Workshop integration, multiple save slots, and a new difficulty mode. That appears to be the last significant content the developer intended to add to the game itself. Subsequent updates have been purely maintenance in nature — a 2019 patch to support community-made mods, and a January 2022 patch to ensure Steam Deck compatibility. The March 2022 update fixed the modding tools broken by the prior patch. None of these represent new game content. A March 2018 post announced the developer's next game, Pathway, signaling that Robotality had moved on to a new project. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no developer statement indicating ongoing content development for Halfway. The game was released as a complete, self-contained product and its content has been finished since October 2014.
