Ancient Frontier

Ancient Frontier launched on September 21, 2017 as a finished product. Over the following two years, Fair Weather Studios delivered two free DLC packs — The Crew (May 14, 2018) and Quests & Events (June 27, 2018) — along with numerous patches adding balance improvements, new events, and quality-of-life features. Both DLC packs are fully released with no unreleased entries remaining in the store listing. When the Quests & Events DLC launched in June 2018, the developer explicitly stated: "This is, at least for now, our last planned free DLC." The one-year anniversary post in September 2018 mentioned ongoing patch work and the development of a standalone follow-up game, Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows, which launched on December 12, 2018 as a separate product. The final patch for Ancient Frontier itself (Patch 1.18) was released on April 12, 2019, adding more random events and balance fixes. No developer communication of any kind has appeared since that date. With both DLC packs shipped, the developer's own statement that free DLC plans were concluded, the companion game launched, and no posts since April 12, 2019, the game appears to have reached the end of its content lifecycle. It launched as a complete single-player strategy RPG and was supported with post-launch additions that have all been delivered.
