Stoic developed three games in the series, and on July 26, 2018, Banner Saga 3 launched — explicitly described as "the third and final game in the epic trilogy." This confirmed the narrative arc of Banner Saga 2 was fully resolved within the trilogy's conclusion.
The game launched on April 19, 2016. Its only DLC is a soundtrack that released on the same day as the game, and no additional content was ever announced or listed as forthcoming.
