Hammerwatch

Hammerwatch launched on August 12, 2013 as a complete hack-and-slash dungeon crawler. Over its first few years, Crackshell actively updated it: new classes were added via patches in April and July 2014, and a paid expansion — Temple of the Sun — shipped in September 2014, adding a full new campaign. The game received its most recent major content update on August 13, 2018 (patch 1.4), which brought in the Sorcerer class and twin-stick controls ported from the console version. That post also mentioned plans for other games in the series (Heroes of Hammerwatch and Hammerwatch II), but nothing further for the original Hammerwatch itself. Since August 2018, all developer communications on this game's page have been announcements about sequels — Heroes of Hammerwatch II launched in January 2025 — with no new content, patches, or roadmap items indicated for the original Hammerwatch. The game shipped as a complete product and has received no additional content since August 2018, making it a finished title.
