HEAT REBORN entered Steam Early Access on May 9, 2021, transitioning from a public beta. The developer — a small independent team based in Hong Kong working on the project in their spare time — was active through mid-2021, shipping new weapons, game modes, and balance updates. The May 26, 2021 patch was the last meaningful content update. After that, the developer went largely silent. The only communications since were two short server maintenance notices: one on December 17, 2022 (for maintenance on December 19, 2022) and one on September 26, 2023 (for maintenance on September 28, 2023). Neither contained any information about game development, upcoming content, or a planned 1.0 release. There have been no developer posts of any kind since September 26, 2023 — a period stretching to June 2026. The game remains in Early Access with servers apparently still running, but there is no evidence the development team is actively working on the game or has any plans to complete it. No roadmap, no 1.0 timeline, and no content updates have been communicated in years.

Background Story

In 2100, Republik Kugelmugel almost takes over the world. It is the largest empire that has almost 5 billion people and affecting all around the world including Europe, America, and Africa. After the 3rd world war, Republik Kugelmugel renamed to Cinor Empire. The capital is located at Yilifu. Cinor is an empire. However, it is a presidential government. Cinor Empire also pursues aristocracy. The people organized a rebel force named Kronoc and it is located in El Provencio. Kronoc hires Asin, which is a biotechnology company, for their genetically modified soldiers to revolt. Afterward, Cinor Empire also hires Asin to fight back.
