Heroes® of Might & Magic® III - HD Edition

Heroes of Might & Magic III – HD Edition launched on January 28, 2015 as an HD remaster of the classic 1999 original. The store description explicitly states that the game's content is based solely on the original 1999 release (The Restoration of Erathia), making clear this is a self-contained product rather than a platform for ongoing content. Following launch, Dotemu shipped three bug-fix patches in quick succession, with the final one (Update #3) arriving on March 27, 2015. That patch resolved the remaining known issues — mouse lag, multiplayer stability, campaign bugs, and creature balance — and added a whisper feature to online multiplayer. There have been no further developer communications or updates specific to this title since that date. The more recent news posts appearing on this game's Steam page (2025–2026) are announcements about Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, a separate game developed by Unfrozen Studio. These were posted to reach the existing Heroes community and have no bearing on the HD Edition's own development. One post dated August 26, 2026 appears to reference a Heroes III Remake — this is a separate product and does not represent new content for the HD Edition. The HD Edition shipped as a finished remaster, completed its post-launch bug-fix cycle by March 2015, and has been content-complete since then.
