Hero's Adventure: Road to Passion launched on November 15, 2023 and has received a consistent stream of major content since then. Six major releases have shipped across roughly 32 months: the V1.2 Southeast Region update and DLC "The Great Conquest" (June 25, 2024), DLC "Her Vanishing Silhouette" (August 13, 2024), DLC "Canvas of Heroes" (November 22, 2024), the free expansion "Calamity in Penglai" (January 16, 2025), the free collaboration DLC "Breeze Remains" (June 19, 2025), and a new protagonist pixel-art portrait update shipped August 13, 2026. This works out to roughly one major content drop every 4–5 months on average.
In November 2024, the developer explicitly stated "the adventure is far from over" and that updates remain "one of our primary focuses." As recently as August 13–14, 2026 — just days before today's assessment — the developer pushed out new protagonist portraits for the original game while simultaneously announcing updates to the spin-off. All six DLC items currently on the store are released, but given the sustained and recent release cadence, this does not indicate the game is done.
In September 2025, the developer announced the spin-off "Another Hero's Adventure" (later retitled "Hero's Adventure: Another Tale"), noting that some underlying design limitations in the original couldn't fully be resolved with patches — explaining the motivation for a new project. However, they have continued shipping content for the original game well after that announcement, and have not declared an end to support for Road to Passion.
The spin-off itself has been delayed to around late December 2026 per an August 14, 2026 developer post, with the team actively working on deepening companion relationships and other features. The developer's attention is split between the two projects, but original game updates have continued regardless.
