Hiiro is a self-contained 2D exploration platformer that launched on July 12, 2016. The developer added controller support shortly after launch (July 18, 2016), and then released a major engine port on July 12, 2017 — migrating the game from an older version of GameMaker to GameMaker: Studio — which also added Steam achievements and a new game option. In that same post, the developer reflected warmly on the game's long history (originally started in 2009) without hinting at any additional content plans. The sole DLC, a Collector's Edition Content pack, shipped on launch day in 2016. No unreleased DLC exists, no roadmap or future content has been announced, and the developer has not communicated anything since July 2017. The game launched as a complete, finite experience and has received no content additions beyond the 2017 engine overhaul. There is nothing indicating further development is planned.
