Hive

Hive is a digital adaptation of the award-winning Hive board game, released on March 20, 2014. All three DLC expansions — the Pillbug, the Ladybug, and the Mosquito — mirror the real-world tabletop expansions and were released by April 30, 2014. The store description explicitly states that the game "includes the same expansions as the table-top version," and no further DLC has been listed since. After the initial DLC releases, the developer shipped a series of feature updates through 2015–2016, including asynchronous play, Elo ratings, leaderboards, group chat, translations, and various bug fixes. The most recent developer communication was a May 9, 2017 announcement about a Kickstarter for a separate game (Lost Cities), which referenced the shared engine but contained no indication of planned future content for Hive itself. Since that post, there have been no further announcements, content updates, or feature patches. The game's content is bounded by the physical board game it adapts — all three existing tabletop expansions are already in the game — and the developer has shown no indication of adding anything beyond that scope. The game launched as a complete digital adaptation and has received no substantive developer communication since May 2017.
