Home Behind 2 launched into Early Access on January 22, 2021 and reached its 1.0 release on February 16, 2022. Following that launch, the developer (TPP Studio) published a 2022 roadmap committing to quarterly content updates through November 2022. They delivered on this roadmap with feature patches in May 2022 (v1.0.1) and August 2022 (v1.0.2), and concluded with the November 2022 update (v1.0.3) — which the developer explicitly stated completed all work listed on their previously published roadmap.
After November 17, 2022, there have been no further updates to Home Behind 2. The developer's next official communication specifically about the game's future came on April 4, 2025, when TPP Studio announced a brand-new title, *Longyin Lizhichuan* (a wuxia open-world simulator), directed at their Home Behind fanbase. On March 13, 2026, they announced that this new game had officially launched on Steam, again addressing Home Behind 2 players as an audience. Neither of these posts announced any new content for Home Behind 2 — they were studio announcements promoting a successor project.
The developer fulfilled their stated 2022 roadmap, made no announcements of further Home Behind 2 content, and has since moved on to a new game. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which was released in January 2021. All evidence points to Home Behind 2 being a complete, finished game as of November 17, 2022.

In Home Behind 2, we travel back to Scaria, 10 years before the events of the previous game. Ruled by the dictator Akadullah, citizens of Scaria are beginning to call for liberation and revolution. As their voices grow louder, uprisings begin spreading like wildfire across the country.
Banan, a college student studying abroad, has decided to return to her homeland to participate in the revolution. With help from Prince, an eclectic agent from the Norto Republic, and Haroun, the disgraced son of a tribal leader, will you be able to face the dangers of western Scaria? Can you evade capture by Akadullah's regime and lead a revolution? Scaria's fate rests upon your shoulders.
- Explore the randomly generated areas of western Scaria in this Roguelike RPG as you adventure, occupy enemy oil fields, and claim cities in the name of the Revolutionaries.
- Recruit and train dozens of guerilla fighters. Unlock 36 jobs, each with their own talents, stats, and battle skills, and assign your fighters to your team as you see fit.
- A strategic real-time combat system. Pause time to command your teammates at any time or use tactics to deal devastating blows to your enemies.
- Random drops of weapons and armor. Hundreds of weapons spanning from World War II until the modern age await your discovery.
