Curious Expedition 2 launched on January 28, 2021 and received a structured series of paid DLC expansions — Highlands of Avalon (November 16, 2021), Shores of Taishi (May 19, 2022), and Robots of Lux (September 15, 2022) — all of which are now released with no unreleased DLC remaining on the store. Beyond the paid DLC, the developer also continued delivering free content updates, the most recent being the Cultist update on June 20, 2024, which added a new playable Cult Leader character and four Cultist types.
Since the Cultist update in June 2024, no further posts have addressed new content for Curious Expedition 2. The developer's attention has clearly shifted to their new game, Mother Machine, which launched on March 26, 2025. News posts from August 2024 onward focus exclusively on Mother Machine's development, launch, and post-launch features — including a co-op demo announced in August 2025. There are no announcements of further DLC, updates, or roadmap content for Curious Expedition 2, and all three listed DLC packs have shipped.
The combination of all DLC released, the most recent content update shipped in June 2024, and the developer's full pivot to a new game indicates that Curious Expedition 2 has reached the end of its content lifecycle. The game launched as a complete product and received meaningful post-launch support, but that support has now concluded.
