Horizon's Gate

Horizon's Gate launched on March 9, 2020 and has received a long history of post-launch updates from solo developer Rad Codex. Four major content updates have shipped: Version 1.2 (August 10, 2020) added player-established ports, a new dungeon, and an elite arena; Version 1.4 (December 21, 2020) introduced a procedural dungeon, Ability Tablets, and a new trade mechanic; Version 1.5 (May 27, 2021) added two new classes and a new post-game dungeon; and Version 1.6 (June 27, 2026) added a new early-game dungeon alongside a massive bug-fixing pass and significant modding improvements. Numerous feature patches have been released throughout this period, with the most recent hotfix posted on June 28, 2026 — just two months before today's date. A May 2023 post announced a separate new game (Kingsvein) while explicitly confirming that Horizon's Gate updates would continue alongside development of that new title. The developer has never announced a final update or declared the game complete. The very recent Version 1.6 major release and its same-day hotfix demonstrate that the developer remains actively engaged with the game.
