HorrorVale

HorrorVale launched on October 1, 2024 as a complete RPG adventure. Since launch, BatWorks Software has been actively supporting the game with a steady stream of patches: Version 1.0.4 shipped in late October 2024, Version 1.1 (a major content update adding the Dream Colosseum, Monsterpedia, party member dialogue, and the "Moments" feature) launched on March 25, 2025, followed by smaller patches in June 2025 (1.1.3), August 2025 (1.1.4), and most recently April 2026 (1.1.5). The developer has been consistently engaged with community feedback — balancing characters, fixing bugs, and adding quality-of-life features. The most significant forward-looking development is the announcement of **HorrorVale: Act M**, revealed on October 20, 2025. This is a separate side story DLC following the character Mothman and his cryptid crew, running concurrently with the main game's events. It was originally teased as a wishlist stretch goal back in June 2024, and the developer confirmed it would only begin development after the main game shipped. A Steam store page is now live and open for wishlisting, confirming this content is actively in the pipeline. The April 2026 Version 1.1.5 patch notes also included notable spoiler-tagged structural changes (splitting the endgame into a new Act 5 designation), showing ongoing refinement of the main game alongside the forthcoming DLC. Players who want to wait for all content should hold off until Act M is released, as it represents announced additional content coming to the HorrorVale universe.
