Evaluation

Abnormal Treatment is a free-to-play indie RPG/adventure game that launched on August 2, 2019. Shortly after launch, the developer released a patch on August 12, 2019, fixing bugs and adding content, and mentioned plans for English and Japanese versions. A December 2019 post promised an English version in early 2020, but that did not materialize on schedule. In October 2020, the developer acknowledged that update and English version progress had stalled while they worked on a new game. Then, on February 13, 2023, the developer announced that both an English version and a Remastered Version would be released in 2023 — bringing HD visuals, improved menus, mouse support, and new bonus room content, all for free. However, as of June 2026, no post on Steam confirms that either version has actually shipped. The 2023 target has passed with no follow-up communication from the developer. Given the outstanding promise of the Remastered Version and English translation — content explicitly committed to by the developer — combined with complete silence since February 13, 2023, it is unclear whether this announced update is still being developed or has been quietly abandoned.
Evidence
Developer announced English version and free Remastered Version (HD visuals, refined menus, mouse mode, new bonus room content) planned for release in 2023. This is the last known developer communication on Steam.

About this game

"Being out of the ordinary is not a blessing from the gods, but a sin against them."
All recuperators in sanatorium Kepler-452b are "ABNormals" with different abilities.

Most people can't accept the differences between extraordinary individuals and themselves.
Marginalizing "the special" or trying to "normalize" the abnormal is in our human nature.
As a result, more and more recuperators are sent here.

The fortune earned from the treatment cost is spent on advanced technologies, new equipment, staff salaries, and everything else in the sanatorium. A fair exchange - both sides get what they need.

However, one doubt always remains in my mind...
None of the recuperators I've cared for have left, so why have none of their families questioned it?
