Hover Junkers

Hover Junkers launched on April 5, 2016 and received a steady stream of post-launch content updates. The first major free update, Buzzbot Attack (1.1), arrived on June 18, 2016, adding a co-op mode. The second major update, Loadout (1.2), arrived on August 24, 2016, adding eight new weapons and ship customization. The third and final major update, Junk Road (1.3), shipped on October 18, 2018, adding a single-player campaign inspired by Oregon Trail. That post — the last communication from the developer — explicitly framed Junk Road as the conclusion of content for Hover Junkers. The developer reflected on the game's legacy, described lessons learned, and shifted focus entirely toward future VR titles being built on a new engine and physics system. No further updates, announcements, or posts have appeared since October 18, 2018.
