Inverted Angel is a Japanese-language adventure game that launched on July 5, 2024. Since release, the solo developer (SCIKA) has been actively updating the game and working toward an English localization.
The most significant content update was ver.2.00, released on September 13, 2025, which added a new continuation scenario, new illustrations, and UI improvements. A second DLC — a new scenario pack titled "朝焼けに足跡をとかして" — released on June 8, 2026, just days before today's date, indicating the game is still receiving new content.
The English localization has had a troubled road. The developer originally targeted autumn 2024, then pushed to 2025, then to February 2026. As of a February 24, 2026 post, the developer had terminated their contract with the localization company due to quality issues and was rewriting the English text themselves — a significant undertaking for a solo developer who noted progress was around 5% at the time. No further update on the English version has been posted since then, though the second DLC released on June 8, 2026 shows the developer remains active.
The developer has also been attending indie game events in Japan in early 2026 and teased a new title in development, showing the studio is operating and engaged.

A girl suddenly appears in front of your home.She gives off a bit of a Yandere vibe, but talks as if she really knows you. You can't just ignore her, so you play along with her to try to figure out who she really is.
Is she just a stalker? Would you doubt your own memory? Or…?
In the first part, story will be branched by inputting your imagination.
After decided your story, you will solve the mystery by your input.
Your inference will be evaluated by "a general impression", and the story story progresses if your input is "mostly" correct.
The strange remarks of the apartment owner, connected messaging app.
Surely, there may be a reasonable explanation for the story. Through interactions with her, try to find out her true identity.
