Evaluation

Junkyard Simulator remains in Early Access and is being actively developed by a solo developer known as "Junkman Adrian." The update cadence across 2025 and 2026 has been exceptionally consistent: full keybinding system (March 2025), tow truck and fuel station overhaul (June 2025), Market and stamina system (September 2025), rebuilt tutorial (December 2025), Turkish language support (February 2026), dismantling overhaul (May 2026), major restoration and performance overhaul (June 19, 2026), vehicle restoration rework with lighting improvements (July 31, 2026), and a bug fix and quality-of-life update on August 7, 2026 — the most recent post as of today. The August 7, 2026 update contains a significant developer statement: the developer has begun work on a "major redesign of several core gameplay systems," including the game's opening experience, player progression, and fundamental mechanics. The developer explicitly warns that update frequency will slow in the coming months as this large-scale restructuring is underway, but is clear that "the game is not being abandoned — quite the opposite." The post also states that "more content, features, and improvements are already in development." Earlier statements reinforce this trajectory. In September 2025, the developer published a roadmap and committed to developing the game "for years to come," with free content updates continuing even after the eventual 1.0 release, and pledged that new roadmaps would follow each completed one. In November 2025, the developer described plans for a big gameplay overhaul, a reworked story, a new area, an evolved driving system, and a new tutorial. In February 2026, thirteen additional languages were confirmed to be actively in progress. There is no indication of a planned 1.0 release date. The developer is actively communicating the reasons for an upcoming quieter period, which is itself a sign of continued engagement and transparency, not abandonment.

Description:

Make a fortune while working at a junkyard. You start with nothing but a hangover and slowly climb your way to success.

You will have complete freedom in how you want to make money.

Do you want to explore the world on foot or drive one of the available vehicles?

Do you prefer to search for junk or look for hidden treasures?

Is renovation your thing? Or maybe you're more of a heavy machinery kind of guy?

Would you rather sell enormous amounts of small items or try something more ambitious, like repairing a vintage car? Whatever you choose, and as long as it is junk-related, we got you covered.

As an owner, you must remember the following:

- Process metal using machines. This will help you get rich quickly.

- Help yourself with vehicles. Use a trolley or a car - you carry much less when you

travel on foot.

- In the workshop you can renovate old furniture and car parts. This will help you earn

more.

- Perform tasks. You’ll be able to earn more and better explore the world of Junkyard.

- Buy containers - a bit of luck will earn you a lot of money. Items found inside can be

very valuable!
