Evaluation

Kentum launched on November 6, 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S (with Nintendo Switch noted as coming at a later date). Since launch, Tlön Industries has maintained a consistent and meaningful update cadence. Within the first week, two patches shipped addressing bugs, balance, and ultrawide/Steam Deck support (November 8, 2025). On December 12, 2025, Content Patch 1 arrived with new machines, building materials, and cosmetics, alongside a pledge that "even more exciting content updates" were coming. On December 16, 2025, the team announced co-op multiplayer for early 2026. The Co-Op Update delivered on January 27, 2026, adding local co-op, Steam Remote Play, and base-building improvements — a substantial feature addition. The most recent update, on March 4, 2026, further refined progression systems. That gives a pattern of major content roughly every 4–8 weeks across the game's post-launch period, with the last major release on January 27, 2026 and the last developer communication on March 4, 2026. As of October 1, 2026, it has been approximately seven months since the last developer communication. That silence is longer than the historical update interval established prior to March 2026, which warrants attention. However, there is no developer statement indicating that development has concluded, no distress signal from the studio, and the game's post-launch history shows genuine commitment to improvement. The developer has not announced the end of support, but the extended silence since March 4, 2026 means we cannot confirm active ongoing development with the same confidence as before. The game continues to be available for purchase and carries no explicit completion statement.

About this game

After a record-breaking nap spanning several millennia, Kent finds himself in the year 10,000 with nothing but a stick and a dry sense of humor. Tired, hungry, and still employed, he will need to explore the unknown to craft the machines that will turn his broken space module into a self-sufficient base of operations. Prepare to craft to survive and automate to thrive.

Discover the wonders and the oddities of a vast, ever-changing world filled to the brim with fascinating flora, fauna, and climate events. Classify every animal, plant, and mineral in order to help you survive the passing seasons. Knowledge is your greatest weapon. But don’t try to use knowledge against certain animals, you WILL get eaten.

Use every material at your disposal to build your base. Start small by turning bone and wood into coal, machine scraps into sheets of metal, and slowly but surely grow your base into a full-blown resource-generating machine that can rival any factory in the world.

Even though Kent will be revived endlessly, that doesn’t change the fact that dying is a major drag. To not bite the dust constantly, you’ll need to gather and hunt for food, find new recipes, and polish your cooking skills. Building your own farms and vivariums is your ticket to a steady source of nourishment.

Expand your home base and create an automated system to allow you to streamline and optimize your productions while you are off exploring.

From vibrant jungles to desolate ruins, traverse post-apocalyptic Earth with your hoverboard, hang glider, grappling hook and more. It is up to you to maneuver with equal parts adventure and efficiency.
