Evaluation
Kidnapped launched on August 4, 2015. In the weeks following launch, Deceptive Games issued several patches addressing bugs, balance tweaks, and minor feature additions. Developer activity then tapered off significantly — the last recorded communication was a bug fix patch on November 16, 2016, resolving a progression-blocking issue in Chapter 3. Since that date, nearly a decade ago, the developer has posted no updates, announcements, roadmaps, or any other communication about the game. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced expansions, and no statements suggesting additional content was ever planned beyond the base game. The store description presents the game as a complete, self-contained story-driven experience. With no post-launch content cycle ever established and all developer activity having ceased by November 2016, the game is best understood as having shipped as a finished product, with the final bug fix representing the end of active maintenance.
Evidence
Final developer communication: a bug fix patch for a Chapter 3 progression issue. No further posts of any kind have been made since this date.
Store description presents Kidnapped as a complete, self-contained story-driven horror game with no mention of DLC, expansions, seasons, or future content.
