Kill It With Fire: HEATWAVE

Kill It With Fire: HEATWAVE is a free demo/chapter tied to the original Kill It With Fire game. It launched on July 17, 2020 as a promotional free chapter. The developer, Casey Donnellan Games, released several updates to the broader Kill It With Fire product line after that date: the Omega Files feature patch (October 11, 2020), a Holiday Update (December 22, 2020), and most significantly the Anniversary Update on August 13, 2021, which added an entire new level, new weapons, and a community event. That Anniversary Update represents the last major content release for this game and its associated HEATWAVE chapter. Since August 13, 2021, there have been no further developer communications directed at HEATWAVE or the original Kill It With Fire. The developer's attention has clearly shifted to Kill It With Fire 2, for which a free demo was announced on January 24, 2024 and which launched in Early Access on April 16, 2024. No future content has been announced or promised for HEATWAVE, and the developer has not posted any updates to this game since the Anniversary Update in August 2021 — nearly five years ago. The game launched as a free standalone chapter and has been complete since the Anniversary Update shipped.
