Knights End launched on March 13, 2026, and the developer has maintained a very active update cadence since then. Across roughly five months of post-launch support, Knight Shift Studios has shipped at least ten patches — a mix of feature updates and bug fixes — adding substantial new content along the way: new melee weapons (spear, scythe), ranged weapons (handcannon, throwable grenades), flame weapons (flame sword, fire staff), new quest types (return chickens, gather vegetables), a hint system, expanded character customization, cosmetic helmets, VOIP push-to-talk, and numerous enemy and environment improvements. The most recent update was on August 6, 2026, adding DirectX 12 support for performance improvements. No specific future DLC or expansions have been announced, and there are no unreleased DLC listings on the store. However, the developer has shown no signs of slowing down — the pace of updates has been consistent throughout the game's post-launch life, with multiple patches per month. This is a game that continues to grow meaningfully after its 1.0 release.

About this game

Your shift has begun. You have been banished to working the dangerous nights, performing menial tasks to serve the kingdom’s villagers. Complete a growing number of tasks each night to gain honor and earn your place on the watch in this unforgiving world. How long can you and your team survive?

Obey Your Villagers' Commands

You and your fellow knights must earn honor for items and your survival, by braving the darkness of the night to fulfill the villager’s demeaning requests: retrieve forgotten items for the village drunk, feed the horses for the forgetful farmers, catch fish in the lake for the hungry, mine gems in the forest caves for the greedy merchant. The villagers will command more tasks from you as you prove yourself useful.

Beware The Night's Horrors

Beware that which hides in the night. As you progress further, more enemies and new horrors appear to stop you from fulfilling your duties to the kingdom. Use your wits to evade them, and acquire weapons and traps at the merchant to fend them off.
