LakeSide launched into full release (version 1.0) on March 25, 2024, graduating from Early Access. At launch, the developer explicitly stated "there is still more to come so this won't be the 'final' version," and noted in a pre-launch post (February 19, 2024) that more content updates were planned later in the year. The developer has delivered on that promise. Since the 1.0 release, major content has continued to arrive — most notably the Legendary Mode update in December 2024. The game has now accumulated 11 major content updates across its lifetime, showing a sustained pattern of significant improvements and additions. Most recently, a version 1.0.5 feature patch was published on May 18, 2026, adding a new city background, new UI elements, and bug fixes. The developer closed that post by saying "we hope to keep fixing and improving the game," signaling continued engagement with the project. There is no developer statement indicating that updates have concluded, and the release history shows the game continues to receive meaningful improvements. The only DLC is a soundtrack pack that released in October 2024, and all listed DLC has shipped.
