Legacy of Defense

Legacy of Defense spent approximately 11 months in Early Access, during which the developer shipped a consistent stream of updates: new Abyss floors, skills, characters, systems, and quality-of-life improvements. On June 10, 2026, the developer announced the full 1.0 release date (originally stated as August 15, later shipped on August 14, 2026 — today), describing it as the moment the game reached "the vision and scope we originally had in mind." The 1.0 launch is a substantial release: it adds a story intro and ending, a true final boss at Abyss level 20 (with the Abyss expanded from level 15 to a max of 20), three new playable characters (Ice Wizard, Tamer, and Shieldman) as paid DLC, a new Combo Skills system, five new skills, a full mastery overhaul, and quality-of-life improvements across the board. An Android version was also released alongside the PC launch. Two DLC packs appear in the store listing: the Supporter Pack (released September 19, 2025) and the Hero Pack (listed as releasing August 31, 2026 — 17 days from now), which appears to correspond to the three new characters introduced in the 1.0 update. The Hero Pack being dated August 31, 2026 means it is not yet released as of today. Because the game launched its 1.0 just today and the Hero Pack DLC is not yet available (releasing August 31, 2026), it is too early to assess whether the developer plans additional post-launch content beyond what just shipped.
