Evaluation
Necronator: Dead Wrong launched into Early Access on February 13, 2020 with a commitment to major monthly updates, and the developer delivered on that promise with a steady stream of major content drops throughout 2020: the Infinity Update (March 2020), Sand and Deliver (April 2020), Master of Puppets (May 2020), Modding Update (June 2020), Version 1.0 launch with Strongwood sector (July 30, 2020), Soul' Snackin update adding the third commander Luavira (September 2020), and the Ascended Update with leaderboards (October 2020). The final major content update was the "Bat from the Dead" update on October 28, 2021, which added a new Sector 4 area, a new boss, new enemies, new cards, and new relics — one of the largest updates to the game. No developer communications, major content releases, or announcements of future content have appeared since October 28, 2021. The game had a very active update cadence from early 2020 through late 2021, with 8 major content releases over roughly 20 months. The silence since October 28, 2021 — now over four and a half years — far exceeds any gap in the historical update pattern. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and no future content has been announced. The game appears to have reached its completed state with the Bat from the Dead update in October 2021.
Evidence
'Bat from the Dead' update launched, described as one of the biggest updates to date, adding Sector 4, a new boss, new enemies, new cards, and new relics. This is the last developer communication on record.
Version 1.0 launched with the Strongwood sector. Developer stated 'it doesn't mean we are going to stop updating the game: far from it,' confirming post-launch content intent.
