Line of Sight

Line of Sight is a free-to-play online FPS that launched on January 31, 2017. The developer, BlackSpot Entertainment, was active with regular patches and content updates throughout 2018 and into 2019 — adding new maps, weapons, game modes (including a Battle Royale mode), and balance overhauls. The most recent developer communication on record is a December 11, 2019 update called "Redux," which overhauled the game's economy, added a new map (Extended), and introduced balance and bug fixes. That post also teased an upcoming ELO-ranked matchmaking system, but no follow-up post announcing its delivery was found among the 50 posts scanned. However, that teaser appeared at the tail end of an already-tapering update pattern — after December 11, 2019, there have been no further developer communications of any kind. Today's date is June 27, 2026, meaning the developer has been completely silent for over six years. The historical update cadence between major content releases was roughly every 1–3 months through 2018–2019, making the current silence far beyond any reasonable expectation of continuation. Both DLC items (a Founders Pack and Starters Package) were released in late 2016 ahead of the full launch. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The ELO matchmaking teaser from December 2019 was never followed up on and, given the complete silence since then, should be treated as an abandoned plan rather than an outstanding commitment. The game appears to have quietly stopped receiving updates as of December 11, 2019, which is treated as the point at which content development concluded.
