Loan Shark

Loan Shark launched on August 8, 2025 as a short (~30 minute) fishing horror game. Studio Ortica has been actively supporting it since release, shipping multiple bug fix and feature patches in the weeks following launch. On September 5, 2025, the developer explicitly stated that "the team is currently working on a content update, adding new endings and quality-of-life improvements" and committed to continued development. This was followed on October 6, 2025 by a formal announcement of the "Multiple Endings Free Update" (branded the "Hooked Edition"), which will add three new endings and a new character based on player feedback. This update has been announced but not yet confirmed as delivered. The studio has also expanded the game's reach — on January 29, 2026, Loan Shark was ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In May 2026, the game was featured in an Italian Hidden Gems bundle, and the developer teased their next project, "The Old Flesh of Nuraga." The studio launched a separate game, Birds Watching, on March 6, 2026, demonstrating that the team remains active and productive. The announced Hooked Edition multiple-endings update represents undelivered content that was publicly committed to by the developer, making this game one where additional content is still expected.
