Lock 'n Load Tactical Digital has been in Early Access since April 2, 2020 and remains in that state. The game has a long history of DLC releases — 23 battlepacks shipped between April 2020 and November 2023, covering a wide range of historical theaters (World War II, Vietnam, Korea, the Falklands, and more). Seven additional DLC packs are listed on the store with no release dates, indicating the developer intended to continue expanding the game's content.
However, developer activity appears to have stopped after December 5, 2023, which was the last posted update. The most recent major content release was Heroes of Normandy Battlepack 3 on November 13, 2023. In the period leading up to that silence, the developer was releasing major DLC content roughly every few months and posting frequent patch notes. The sudden and prolonged absence of any communication — now stretching past June 2026 — combined with seven unreleased DLC packs still listed on the store raises real concern about whether development is continuing. The game also has no announced path to a 1.0 release.
Anyone considering this game should be aware that a significant amount of content was promised (seven store-listed DLC packs remain unreleased) but there has been no word from the developer in over 18 months.
