Loop Hero

Loop Hero launched on PC on March 4, 2021 and received one meaningful post-launch content update: the v1.1 update on June 15, 2021, which added new tiles, enemies, and quality-of-life features. A series of bug fixes and smaller patches followed through mid-2022. The most notable development signal came on April 26, 2022, when Four Quarters posted that work on a "major update" had stopped at roughly 80% completion two months prior, but that they intended to continue development soon. However, no major update ever shipped after that post. The final patch — a small bug fix (v1.155) — arrived on June 6, 2022, and there have been no further developer communications about PC content since then. In May 2024, Loop Hero launched on iOS and Android through Playdigious, but this was a mobile port, not new PC content. The developer has not announced any further content for the PC version. The roadmap teased in March 2021 — promising new cards, classes, transformations, and music — was partially fulfilled by the v1.1 update, but the larger "major update" that was 80% complete in early 2022 was never delivered and has not been mentioned since. Given that the last developer communication about that update was in April 2022 and more than four years have passed with no follow-up, it is reasonable to conclude that the planned update was quietly abandoned and development on the PC version has concluded. The game appears to have settled into its current state as a complete product.
