Evaluation
Lost World launched on February 5, 2023 after a brief pre-release development period. In the months leading up to and just after launch, the developer (C.S. Games) was actively posting updates roughly monthly: Update 1 shipped November 29, 2022, Update 2 on January 2, 2023, and Update 3 on February 1, 2023. In December 2022, the developer explicitly committed to a monthly update cadence and outlined ambitious future plans — a blueprint and research system, story missions, dungeons, laboratories with radiation hazards, and craftable diving equipment. The January 2023 DevBlog described these as "big changes and additions in store" and framed the caves added in Update 3 as only "the first phase of the game's development."
However, no developer communication of any kind has appeared since February 1, 2023 — a silence of over three years as of June 21, 2026. This completely breaks the monthly cadence the developer publicly committed to, and none of the promised future content (blueprints, dungeons, laboratories, etc.) appears to have shipped. The developer had stated they would "definitely tell you the reasons" if an update was going to be delayed, but no such explanation was ever posted. The game remains purchasable and the store page does not reflect any of the promised content systems. Given the significant amount of content that was explicitly promised but never delivered, and the prolonged unexplained silence, it is unclear whether development is continuing.
Evidence
Update 3 shipped with 5 new islands, caves, new animals, and a new island generation system. This is the last known developer communication.
DevBlog 4 describes the caves in Update 3 as 'the key to completing the first phase of the game's development,' with a blueprint/research system, dungeons, laboratories, radiation mechanics, and diving gear all promised for future updates.

About this game
Your journey will not be easy. You ended up in the open ocean on a small raft, you only have an old hook in your backpack, use it!
- Catch debris, floating logs and leaves to expand your raft and build everything you need to survive on it.
- Fishing: make a fishing rod and catch fish so as not to starve to death.
- Place a watermaker to get fresh water.
- Build a campfire for cooking.
- Make a bandage to stop the bleeding, or treat yourself with natural remedies.

- Dive into the reefs, where you can get sand, clay and other resources for construction.
