Evaluation
Mad Island launched into Early Access on May 23, 2024 and has maintained a very active development pace ever since. The developer (EmadePlus) has consistently shipped feature updates roughly every 1-3 months, each adding new gameplay systems, NPCs, items, story content, and scenes. Looking at the recent record: v0.4.2 on June 6, 2025; v0.4.4 on August 8, 2025; v0.4.5 on October 25, 2025; v0.5 on January 9, 2026; v0.5.8 on February 23, 2026; v0.5.10 on May 9, 2026; v0.5.11 on June 23, 2026; a hotfix on June 30, 2026; v0.5.12 on July 31, 2026; and another hotfix on August 16, 2026 — the most recent communication. The game remains at version 0.5.x, well below a 1.0 release, and the developer has made no statements about concluding development or approaching a final release. Development is clearly ongoing and very active.

About this game
You and four friends are enjoying a cruise ride when the boat collides with a rock and sinks.
You wake up on an unknown island where you meet the other protagonist of this game with whom you will start your days of survival with. The goal is to find your friends and escape the island.
You can listen to their stories of how they ended up on the island, and make them your allies.
Enemies can be either defeated or stunned, in which case you can tame them to be your allies.
Strong allies are sure to help you in your exploration.
There are numerous fish that can be fished, depending on the location.

Dual Protagonists
There are two protagonists. The story begins with the female protagonist, but once on the island, you may switch between the two at any time.The Natives
The island is inhabited by natives. They spend the daytime outside and sleep in their homes at night. You can ""visit"" them in their sleep, in addition to capturing them and making them your slaves. They can work for you in such fields as logging, excavation, and farming. You can allow them to make love freely or restrict them from it.Enemies, Monsters, & Friends
You will encounter enemies and monsters in numerous places.You can listen to their stories of how they ended up on the island, and make them your allies.

Character Customization

Levelling Up & Skills
