Evaluation

Mama's Sleeping Angels launched on March 11, 2026 after roughly three years of development by solo developer itamu. The launch announcement celebrated fifty thousand wishlists and described a complete game featuring six dream worlds, approximately twenty monsters, thirty curses, and various secrets. Since launch, the developer has been highly active. A rapid succession of feature patches followed in the days and weeks after release (March 13, March 16, April 3, April 6, April 28, April 29), each adding new quality-of-life features, gameplay systems, and balance changes. On June 5, 2026 — less than three months after launch — the developer shipped the v2.0 update, a substantial content release adding alternate map variants called Broken Dream Worlds, a new monster, a new playable character (Doll), Dream Modifiers, a new tool (Pogo Stick), a new weapon (Rocket Launcher), and significant performance and system improvements. No future content has been explicitly announced, but the developer has demonstrated a clear and sustained pattern of substantial post-launch updates with no indication that development is concluding. The most recent developer communication was the v2.0 release post on June 5, 2026 — just 15 days before today's date. The game's soundtrack was also released as DLC on May 7, 2026. The only DLC listed is the released soundtrack. There is no season pass, no unreleased DLC, and no explicit roadmap for future content — but the developer's active engagement and the scale of the v2.0 update signal that this game continues to grow.
