Man O' War: Corsair has a long and well-documented history. The game launched in Early Access in 2016, reached its 1.0 release on April 19, 2017, and received substantial post-launch content through several major updates — including new faction campaigns (Nurgle, Slaanesh, Bretonnian, Empire, and Tzeentch) that collectively completed the game's campaign content. On January 20, 2021, the developer announced the game would be delisted from Steam due to changes in their licensing agreement with Games Workshop. The game was subsequently removed from sale. However, the story didn't end there. On April 13, 2026, the game returned to Steam under the publisher SNEG, rebranded as "Man O' War: Corsair - Warhammer Naval Battles (Classic)." This release brought the game back with improvements for modern Windows systems, better controller support, restored audio, Russian localization, and Steam Cloud saves. Notably, the two previously separate DLCs — The Fledgling Griffon and Reik's Fashion — were merged into the base game at no extra cost. The store description describes this release as a modernized, improved package of the complete game. No new story content, roadmaps, season passes, or announcements of future content were included in the April 2026 return. The update focused entirely on compatibility, quality-of-life improvements, and bundling existing content. WHAT’S INSIDE THIS RELEASE

This edition updates Man O' War: Corsair to run smoothly on modern Windows systems, delivering an improved user experience. The game has been updated with improvements to rendering and save systems and now supports PlayStation controllers. Missing crew and enemy voice audio have been restored, Russian text localization has been added, and Steam Cloud saves are now supported. Additional gameplay and quality-of-life improvements have also been introduced.

The Old World

A captain in Man O' War: Corsair can sail the coast of a huge continent in the Warhammer world. Visiting over 50 ports from Erengrad to Sartosa, the sea is yours to explore.

A heroic adventurer does not only have enemy ships to contend with. The deep and unexplored oceans hold terrifying creatures that few see and live to tell the tale.

These deadly creatures emerging from the deep sea will chill blood and drop jaws in equal measure. The wise would attempt to flee but those brave enough to tackle such creatures will be famed throughout the world.
