McPixel

McPixel launched on Steam on September 25, 2012, as the first game ever published through the Steam Greenlight platform. The developer, Sos Sosowski, shipped post-launch free DLC content including a Holiday-themed level pack and community-created level packs on December 19, 2014 — the last content addition to the game. The store description still references "Free DLC for everyone," reflecting those additions. In June 2022, the developer celebrated the game's 10th anniversary and explicitly described McPixel 3 as "the final game in the McPixel Trilogy," framing the original game as a completed entry in a trilogy. McPixel 3 launched on November 14, 2022. There has been no communication about new content for the original McPixel since December 2014, and no unreleased DLC is listed for the game. The original McPixel is a finished, standalone product with all of its content fully delivered.
