Menace from the Deep

Menace from the Deep launched on November 11, 2024 and received a series of free content updates through early 2025, adding new inventory items, enemies, encounters, and custom game modifiers (versions 1.11 through 1.13, shipped between January and February 2025). The developer then shifted focus to a paid expansion. On June 20, 2025, the game's first and only expansion — The Rift of Sanity — launched, adding a new playable character and a fourth act. In the same post announcing that release, the developer explicitly stated: "No new DLCs are planned at the moment." The developer's focus is now on porting the game to consoles (including Steam Deck controller support) and beginning work on an entirely new project. A November 24, 2025 post confirmed the studio is actively working on that next project. All three DLC listings on the store (The Rift of Sanity expansion, the Soundtrack, and the Digital Artbook) are released. No unreleased DLC entries exist. The developer has communicated no further content plans for the game itself. Ongoing work consists of maintenance patches, console porting, and controller support — not new content additions. The game's content is complete as of the June 20, 2025 expansion launch, which the developer described as the concluding content release for the title.
