Evaluation

The developer (DyingCat) issued an explicit statement on November 20, 2017 confirming that Merlin Adventurer Store will receive no further updates. In that post, they explained that the original technical staff had left the studio, that the game had not been updated in nearly a year, and that any bugs or technical issues could no longer be fixed. They stated clearly that development on this game is finished. The game launched on December 2, 2016 and received a handful of bug fix patches before going silent. The November 20, 2017 post represents the developer's definitive and final word on the game's future — it is a complete, finished product with no further content planned.

Evidence

Developer explicitly stated (in Chinese) that there will be no more updates to Merlin Adventurer Store. They explained that the technical staff had left, the game had been inactive for nearly a year, and that any future bugs cannot be fixed. The studio confirmed it has moved on to a new game.
