METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version

METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version launched on October 24, 2023 as a curated collection of classic titles: Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and Metal Gear Solid (including VR Missions), accompanied by digital screenplay and master books. No DLC or additional downloadable content has ever been listed for this product. Since launch, Konami has issued a steady stream of patches improving the experience — early bug fixes for game-speed and save issues (October–November 2023), expanded display and audio options (December 2023), analog input and cutscene fixes (March 2024), and most recently Ver.3.0.0 on February 13, 2026, which added resolution scaling (Original, High Resolution, Max Resolution), confirm/cancel button swapping, and full keyboard remapping. The most notable recent development is a July 23, 2026 post announcing a free play trial for Metal Gear Solid to promote the launch of a separate product — METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 (Steam App 3859630) — releasing August 27, 2026. This is a distinct collection with its own store page and has no bearing on the content of this Vol.1 product. Similarly, a February 2025 announcement for METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is a fully separate game unrelated to this collection. There is no announced future content, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statement indicating further updates are planned for this Vol.1 collection. The patch history shows a progression from bug-fixing to quality-of-life improvements, with Ver.3.0.0 representing the most recent and substantive update. This collection reads as a finished product, with February 13, 2026 marking the last meaningful content addition.
