Evaluation

Million Monster Militia launched out of Early Access on June 21, 2024, delivering a full 75-level campaign across the United States (and newly-annexed Montreal). The developer, Space Capsule Games, had been actively updating the game during its Early Access period with a series of major content drops — Goats From Hell (September 2023), the Lawyer Up(date) (October 2023), and the 140 Trillion Custom Game Modes update (February 2024) — before completing development with the full 1.0 launch. Following the 1.0 release, the developer issued two bug-fix patches (July 5 and July 29, 2024) addressing post-launch issues. The last developer communication was on July 29, 2024. No further content has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and there is no roadmap or developer statement indicating additional content is planned. The game has no DLC listings at all. The update history shows that major content was delivered at a cadence of roughly every 2–4 months during Early Access, but that pattern was building toward the 1.0 release. After launch, the developer shifted to bug-fixing only and has posted nothing since July 29, 2024 — nearly 11 months of silence as of today (June 21, 2026). This is well beyond any reasonable continuation of the earlier update cadence, and the developer has made no statements suggesting further development. The game appears to have shipped as a complete product with its 1.0 release, followed by post-launch polish patches.

Roguelike Autobattling Deckbuilder

Deploy and Attack!

50 giant bosses have taken over 50 cities in the United States (including recently-annexed Montreal). It's your job to cross the country, gathering troops to free the terrified population. Start with a bunch of Civilians (armed with nothing but hope) and Solders to train them up:

Recruit Your Militia

Will you pick the Soldier who will turn your citizens into hard-bitten troops, or the Succubus, who will turn them into power-leeching Vampires? If you dabble in the occult, bring along a Priest to channel the power of your Undead. Backed into a corner by Nyarlathotep? Deploy a Tactical Nuke to concentrate your militia's attacks into a single mega blast. Sure, it'll turn them into Radioactive Waste, but that's how you get Mutants.

Game-Breaking Synergies!

Once on the battlefield, 25 of your troops will deploy randomly. You have no control over where they go, which means that it's the composition of your militia that's most important. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, but the important bit is the synergies. Recruit the right combination of troops, and you'll probably kick giant boss butt.

Whom Can You Recruit?
