Evaluation
Missing Translation launched on September 24, 2015 as a free, complete puzzle adventure game. The store description explicitly states it is free with "no ads, cash shop or any of those modern things," and describes a fixed set of content: three puzzle mechanics with 25 levels each, two playable characters, and additional language-based challenges. This is a self-contained package with no post-launch content cycle.
The only DLC listed is a "Deluxe Edition" that was released on September 23, 2015 — effectively at launch — and no further DLC has been added since.
The sole meaningful developer communication after launch, a post from April 24, 2019, was not about Missing Translation at all. The developer used the post to announce that Missing Translation had served as the foundation for establishing AlPixel Games as a studio, and that the team had since moved on to a larger commercial project called "A Place for the Unwilling." This strongly indicates that Missing Translation is a completed, legacy project — a passion project that the team finished and left behind as they grew into a full studio.
There have been no post-launch content updates, no roadmaps, and no announcements of future content for this game. It shipped as a finished product in September 2015 and has not received content additions since.

Key Features
- No tutorials, hints or even text to be found here. This wasn't made to increase difficulty but to let the player do everything on his own, "Missing Translation" isn't a hard game, but we don't like hand-holding.
- REPEAT, NO TEXT. Everyone can enjoy it regardless of the language they speak :D
- Three different puzzle mechanics, each of those features 25 levels to complete.
- Beautiful black and white pixel art... ... did I already say we have cats?
- Two different characters to choose from.
- Additional challenges involving a drawn language that can be learned up to some point.
- Great soundtrack that has evolved with the rest of the game over development.
- FREE! No ads, cash shop or any of those modern things.
