Evaluation

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a free, standalone narrative experience set in the Life is Strange universe, released on June 25, 2018. The store description explicitly describes it as "a free demo" — a self-contained, single-playthrough story about a young boy named Chris. It was designed from the outset as a complete, finished product with no episodic structure, no DLC, and no post-launch content cycle of its own. The developer confirmed at launch that it is a standalone experience with connections to Life is Strange 2, but no further content for Captain Spirit itself was ever announced or implied. All news posts from the game's Steam page relate to the broader Life is Strange franchise (Life is Strange 2 episodes and Life is Strange: Double Exposure), not to new content for Captain Spirit. There are no DLC listings, no roadmap, and no developer communication suggesting additional content was ever planned for this title. It launched as a finished product and remains exactly that.
