Mondealy

Mondealy launched on August 9, 2023 as a complete indie adventure RPG. The game received two post-launch patches in August and September 2023 addressing bugs, and celebrated its first anniversary on August 9, 2024 with a PlayStation 4 release. Since the previous evaluation, significant new activity has emerged. On July 10, 2026, the developer opened a closed playtest (listed on the store as a separate DLC entry) to test new localizations for ten languages: Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Turkish, and Italian. This is an active development effort — the developer is collecting player feedback on translation quality, tone, and font rendering. As recently as September 16, 2026, the developer pushed an update to the playtest build addressing font issues and localization bugs reported by testers, demonstrating that this work is ongoing. These localizations are not yet part of the main release. The playtest build is described as based on "Mondealy: Day One" (the free demo portion), and the developer is using this phase to refine translations before releasing them in the full game. Until these localization updates ship to the main game, the developer has unfinished work in progress. The store DLC list now includes the playtest entry (released July 10, 2026), and no other unreleased DLC entries are present. The planned modding/Workshop support mentioned in June 2024 was explicitly described as uncertain pre-production and has not been referenced since, so it remains a speculative possibility rather than a firm commitment.
