Monkey King: Hero is Back launched on October 16, 2019 and received a focused burst of post-launch content through the end of that year. Two episode DLCs were released: "Uproar in Heaven" on November 19, 2019, and "Mind Palace" on December 17, 2019. These, along with five smaller in-game item DLCs and two cosmetic outfit DLCs, were all bundled under a Season Pass released at launch on October 17, 2019. Every item included in the Season Pass has been delivered, and all ten DLC entries in the store listing are marked as released. The last developer communication of any kind was the Mind Palace release post on December 17, 2019, and no new content, roadmap, or future plans have been announced since. The developer has not posted any updates in over six years. The game's content cycle appears to have concluded with the Mind Palace DLC in December 2019, fulfilling all Season Pass commitments.
